Christian the Lion

The two men pictured in the photograph to the left, reared Christian, the lion, from a cub in England. The authorities would not allow them to keep Christian once he reached maturity so they were forced to give him up. They took Christian back to Africa and placed him in a wildlife sanctuary - a year later, they went to see him and were told Christian would not remember them.
