“The animals that touch our lives are precious gifts. They have a depth of which many of us are not aware.”
Claudia Hehr
I would like to introduce you to some very special animals. As you read their stories and learn more about their lives, you will recognize the similarity in thoughts and feelings experienced by animals and humans.
Please feel free to share the stories about these incredible animals, or simply forward this page to someone you know.
If you, or someone you know has an incredible "animal" story to share, please contact me - It may become the new "featured" story on my Web site.

Bandit's Story
Today I would like to introduce you to Bandit.
At the tender age of six weeks, Bandit was brought to a veterinarian to be euthanized. A pet store had bought Bandit 'for retail', but when the store owners noticed that there was something wrong with the puppy's eyes, they quickly decided that Bandit was not 'good retail quality', and shipped him off to a vet to be killed!
Luckily, the veterinarian in question thought differently. After telling the store owners that the puppy had been euthanized, he treated Bandit's eyes, which healed up wonderfully, and nursed the puppy back to health.
One of the clinic employees who helped treat the puppy, adopted him right away and called him Bandit because of the eye bandages he wore during his treatment.
Bandit has had a wonderful life with his guardian. For more than 21 years, these two have loved each other, and have always been there for each other, through good times and bad.
Bandit's guardian would like to remain anonymous in order to protect the veterinarian's identity. However, I think that this veterinarian should be on the cover of a magazine so that his actions can be celebrated!
I personally want to wish Bandit many more wonderful years, and say thank you to both his guardian and the wonderful vet who have given Bandit a long and happy life.

** If you are interested in congratulating Bandit on his 21st birthday, please send me an email with Bandit's name in the subject line, and I
will forward it to Bandit and his guardian.
A Note from Bandit's Guardian
"I was moved to tears as I read your kind and true words. It is written with kindness and love, anyone who loves an animal (no matter what the heredity) can truly appreciate the lengths a person will go to save a life."
